Kevin Gaughan

Principal & Owner

From the perspective of FORM founder Kevin Gaughan, people and nature belong together. Though he draws inspiration from a wide range of influences, including art, architecture, travel and sustainable design, his goal is very simple: to get people outside and experiencing the natural world. It was with this goal in mind that Kevin founded FORM Garden Design in 2021.

Kevin’s approach is concerned with developing thoughtful, architecturally informed designs that meet the needs and the desires of every individual client. With experience in garden design for both public and private commissions, landscape contracting, and stone masonry, he brings a well-rounded design sensibility to garden and landscaping projects of any scale.

Kevin got his start out of school at Graham Landscape Architecture where he developed his foundation in high-end residential garden design. Most recently an alum of Campion Hruby Landscape Architects, he played an influential role in the first decade of the firm’s development as one of the founding team members.  A licensed landscape architect with a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Maryland, Kevin currently sits on the Executive Committee Board of the Maryland Chapter of ASLA.

Outside of the office, Kevin has worked on many pro bono projects in his community including helping convert several abandoned lots in SW Baltimore to Community Greenspaces, designing a memorial in Latrobe Park, and volunteering in his neighborhood through the Locust Point Civic Association.
