FIELDSTONE FARMSTEAD
Surrounded by 11 acres of rolling countryside and framed by historic stone barns, the gardens of this 1850s brick home were reimagined with a gentle hand. FORM Garden Design worked with the homeowner—a Master Gardener newly arrived to her dream property—to shape spaces that feel rooted in the land itself. A new set of stone slab steps and a patio now invite daily use, while a stone pond and fountain, planted with her water lilies, brings movement and reflection to the garden and invites nature for a drink. Native plants mingle with thoughtfully relocated perennials, keeping the landscape unfussy and true to its rural character. Designed for the homeowner to tend herself, the garden opens gracefully to long views of the pond beyond, offering a setting as enduring as the countryside around it.
